It is mainly designed to test the sugar content in original grape juice, then the alcohol level in the wine(which will be brewed from the grape juice) can be known from the scale, and alcohol-content by volume of the grape wine made from the fermented grape juice.
Measuring Range: Brix (Sugar): 0 - 40%, Resolution: Brix (Sugar): 0.2% Minimum Division: 0.2% Vol, 0.2% Brix Accuracy: ±0.2% Vol, ±0.2% Brix Automatic Temperature Compensation (10 ℃ ~ 30 ℃) and calibration screw (calibrating "0")
It is more accurate than a hydrometer and easy to measure. Place 2 drops sample on the main Prism and close the panel and hold the refractometer up to the light and look through the eyepiece
The refractometer's body and the retaining ring are made of brass and chrome plated. The aluminum refractometers is easy to pollute the fermentation liquid and minor damage to the human body. The internal optical lens with high refractive index make up the precision optical system.
This Unit is better than the 0-32% Brix Models. Because brewing high quality wines need more than 32% sugar content Brix. Excellent winemakers prefer to use nearly 40% Brix grapes to make wine.
